Application
Below is a brief outline of the steps involved in North Hills Prep School’s admissions process.
Parents Open House
Open Houses for prospective parents provide them with the opportunity to visit the campus and learn more about the school’s program, philosophy and approach. They also include time to ask questions as well as tour the campus. To reserve an open house spot please contact the Admissions Office by email or call 877-943-5747.
Application
Applications to North Hills Prep are available online or from the Admissions Office. The application provides a checklist of required documents. After completion of an application, it may be emailed to the admissions coordinator, Elin Bradley, at [email protected] or mailed along with the supporting documents to The Help Group Admissions Office, 13130 Burbank Boulevard, Sherman Oaks, CA 91401.
Interview
Parents of applicants will be contacted by the Admissions Office within one week of receipt of the application to arrange an interview with the parent, the child, and an Admissions evaluator. This 60-90 minute meeting will review the child’s needs, provide time for questions and give the child an opportunity to see the school.
Outside Information
After the interview, the Admissions evaluator will request written permission to contact one or more professionals who know the child well in order to obtain information from their point of view. Generally this will include the child’s most recent teacher.
The Decision
Once an evaluator has heard from the professional(s) mentioned above, parents will be contacted within 7 to 14 days with the admissions decision.
Enrollment
The final step of the process entails parent(s) completing all necessary forms prior to the student starting school.
